When the Great Recession crippled union pension funds—including our own Columbus and Akron pensions—most politicians offered workers nothing but a few empty words of sympathy. But Sherrod Brown stepped up.

He introduced the Butch Lewis Pension Relief Act to save our pensions, and he didn’t quit fighting for years until he got the law passed. Now, thanks to Sherrod, Local 23 members in Akron and Columbus know they’ll get everything they earned in retirement.
