Three New Signatory Contractors Joining the BAC Local 23 Family!

DNB Masonry, H&J Brick Restoration Specialists LLC and Vilardo’s Complete Masonry have all joined the BAC Local 23 family as signatory contractors. This means new opportunities for our members and more work in the future!

“It’s always a good day when we are able to bring on one new signatory contractor to our union. But three in one week? Fantastic. It’s a testament to the hard work of all of our field representatives and organizers and the strength of Local 23. These contractors know that when they need work done, our members will get the job done with the skill and professionalism that only union craftworkers can bring,” said Local 23 President Danny Musacchio. “I’d also like to thank all of our incredible training staff across our union. Their work has prepared Local 23 to be ready for moments like these. We have worked hard to build our union and today we celebrate the result of all that work.”

More information about the three new signatory contractors can be found below.

Local 23 Attends Cleveland Builds

Local 23 attended the Cleveland Builds program over the weekend to help train the next generation of bricklayers! Local 23’s training segment had 8 students and within two hours, they were showing significant improvement. Cleveland Field Rep. Nicole Ohmer, Cleveland Field Rep. Joe Harrison and Membership Administrative Rep. Dave Greer, went over laying brick to the line, striking and finishing work. All the participants were very engaged and seemed to have a lot of fun.

“It’s an honor and a privilege for us to try to show the next generation of bricklayers and allied craftworkers some of the skills necessary for success in our trade. These trainings strengthen our union and our trade and it’s encouraging to see the students learn so quick and show excitement for the work,” said Harrison.

New Signatory Contractors and Members Join BAC Local 23 in Northwest Ohio Chapter

Scott Ansell, Field Rep for the Northwest Chapter, has been hard at work to grow our union. In the last few weeks, Field Rep Ansell has worked to organize several new contractors and members to join BAC Local 23!

Firman Masonry, Premier Waterproofing, and Industrial Power Systems have all signed on to the statewide agreement, and now are part of BAC Local 23 along with all of their current craftworkers.

In addition to the new signatory contractors, Ansell has signed up 6 new individual members while working on Project Labor Agreement jobsites in Toledo.

“It’s always great to get a signed union card back because I know what that means for our new members – a voice on the job. We’re always working to grow our union because we know that our greatest strength is our power in numbers. It’s been a great couple weeks growing our union family!” said Ansell.

Thank you to Brother Ansell for his tireless work out in the field!
