Blood Drive and Food Donation Drive!

Local 23 Blood Drive

Local 23’s Blood Drive is officially scheduled for Saturday, November 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Valley View Hall, located at 9525 Sweet Valley Drive, Valley View, OH 44125.

We are looking for 50 members to sign up as donors. If you are interested in donating, please email or text Field Rep. Dave Greer at (440) 752-2821 or dgreer@bac23.org to reserve your spot. Your donation can make a real difference for patients and families in our community.


1st Annual Holiday Pantry Donation Drive

Local 23’s 1st Annual Holiday Pantry Donation Drive is also underway! We are collecting donations to help local families in need this holiday season, and Local 23 will match cash donations made to the drive.

Every contribution helps, whether you donate cash or much-needed pantry and household items. Let’s come together as a union and show what solidarity looks like during the holiday season.

North Shore Chapter Introducing Trunk or Treat!

The North Shore Social Committee is excited to introduce a brand-new family event this fall: Trunk or Treat! Members and their families are invited to join us for an evening of Halloween fun, candy, decorated trunks, and community at two convenient locations. The Valley View Hall will host Trunk or Treat on Monday, October 26, and the Mentor Hall will host the event on Wednesday, October 28, with both events taking place from 5:00–7:00 p.m.

This new event is designed to bring our union families together for some fun and solidarity, and most importantly candy! The evening will be made possible by our North Shore staff and dedicated apprentices, who will be volunteering their time to help create a memorable experience for our members and their children. We hope you’ll come out in costume, enjoy the festivities, and celebrate the season with your union family!

Northeast Akron/Canton Members: Important Change Coming to MMC

To our Local 23 Northeast Akron/Canton members, beginning August 1st, drug testing notifications will be moving to 100% electronic. Please call the MMC Office immediately to update/confirm your phone number and email address. Mobile Medical Corporation will send testing notifications (annual and random) via both:

• Email Address

• Text Message

The cell # the notification comes from is “412-837-8544.” Please save this number in your phone as “Mobile Medical.”

The notification will include your authorization deadline date and a link to the testing facility list. When you arrive at the approved facility, show them the digital authorization form, on your phone, along with your photo ID. If you already have a CISAP Drug Free Card, with a QR code, you will not receive a new one. The data will upload automatically.

Replacement cards cost $15.00.

MMC Office hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
