2nd Annual Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 23 Northeast vs. Northshore Cup Fundraiser Coming!

Join Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 23 on Saturday, September 5 at Raintree Golf & Event Center for the 2nd Annual Northeast vs. Northshore Cup Fundraiser. This four-person scramble is a great opportunity to enjoy a day of golf, food, prizes, and fellowship while helping raise money to purchase tools for apprentices entering the trade.

Team registration is $600 and includes refreshments, driving range access, lunch at the turn, a BBQ buffet dinner, drink tickets, and more. Please have all of your team members’ shirt sizes when registering.

Not a golfer? You can still join us for the social outing and dinner for just $50 per person.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and individuals looking to support the next generation of union craftworkers. Contact Ryan Olinger at 330-285-3827 or ROLINGER@WLTUCKER.COM to register your team or become a sponsor.

Whether you’re coming out to tee it up, helping sponsor the event, or just joining us for dinner and drinks, this is a great opportunity to break bread with fellow members, contractors, and other industry professionals while helping raise money to buy tools for apprentices just getting started.

Happy golfing!

Remembering Brother Jerre Riggle

We are saddened to inform our members that Jerre Riggle, the former field representative for the Youngstown/Warren area, passed away last week.

“Jerre was a good, loyal union man. He was a hard worker and when he got his marching orders – even if nobody else was doing it – Jerre did it. He followed through and led by example. The whole Local 23 family was very lucky to call him a brother and he will be missed,” said Lee Kurtz, former Local 8 President and retired member of 52 years.

Over the weekend, many of Riggle’s former union brothers and sisters attended his funeral service, paying respects to him and his family.

As a testament to his dedication to this union and all we stand for, Brother Jerre’s trowel and hammer were placed beside his ashes. Solidarity.
